Customer Review: Awesome teaching cartoon
I grew up with this cartoon and was happy to get it. The service was good as well.
Customer Review: Just like my childhood....
I loved to watch these when I was growing up and had Saturday mornings free to just be a kid.
Now I use them in my high school classes to introduce new topics and parts of speech (English Teacher) and my freshmen through seniors love them. They are still appropriate and fun. And it breaks up what can seem to be boring (grammar) at times.
I loved that I could get all the snippets in one DVD. It just makes job that much easier.
Hannah Montana "In Concert Collection" Deluxe Singing w/ "The Other Side of Me"
Hannah Montana "In Concert Collection" Deluxe Singing w/ "The Other Side of Me"
This Hannah Doll is dressed up for an electrifying performance and ready to rock the stage. Press a button to hear her sing her hit song, "The Other Side of Me." Includes Hannah doll in authentic outfits from T.V. show, Hannah Montana, microphone, poster and backstage pass. Requires 4 "AG13" button-cell batteries, included. Measures 13" tall.
Customer Review: another "gotta have" for the Hannah Montana set (meant facetiously)
I wish companies would set these toys to play more of the song. It is very annoying to hear the same two or three bars of an already constantly heard song. This was a Christmas gift, but I haven't seen or heard my daughter playing with this much.
Customer Review: FUN with HANNAH!
My 6yo dd loves playing with this doll. She loves wearing the bracelet that came with it. My only complaint would be the back of her head is lacking hair...but that didn't make a difference with my little girl. She loves it. The doll sings very loud, which was surprising, but at least it's only a small portion of the song. I imagine that we will be collecting ALL the Hannah dolls now...

This book is great for a baby teething. Corners of pages are rubberized for that "everything" goes in my mouth.
Customer Review: Teether book
Cute idea for teething. The spine works great for chewing and the sides of the book. Doesn't stay open very well as a book, pages kind of slap back closed if you don't hold it open yourself. Overall cute toy for the price.

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon PSP UMD Movie MODEL- 11559 VENDOR- UMD MOVIE FEATURES- Crouching Tiger PSP Movie An epic set against the breathtaking landscapes of ancient China, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon combines the exhilarating martial arts choreography by Yuen Wo-Ping (The Matrix) with the sensitivity and classical storytelling of an Ang Lee film. The result is something truly unexpected: romantic, emotionally powerful entertainment. Taiwanese filmmaker Ang Lee took a break from making Western period dramas to fashion this wild and woolly martial arts spectacular featuring special effects and action sequences courtesy of the choreographer of The Matrix (1999), Yuen Woo Ping. In the early 19th century, martial arts master Li Mu Bai (Chow Yun-Fat) is about to retire and enter a life of meditation, though he quietly longs to avenge the death of his master, who was killed by Jade Fox (Cheng Pei-pei). He gives his sword, a fabled 400-year-old weapon known as Green Destiny, to his friend, fellow martial arts wizard and secret love Yu Shu Lien (Michelle Yeoh), so that she may deliver it to Sir Te (Sihung Lung). Upon arrival in Peking, Yu happens upon Jen (Zhang Ziyi), a vivacious, willful politicians daughter. That night, a mysterious masked thief swipes Green Destiny, with Yu in hot pursuit -- resulting in the first of several martial arts action set pieces during the film. Li arrives in Beijing and eventually discovers that Jen is not only the masked thief but is also in cahoots with the evil Jade. In spite of this, Li sees great talent in Jen as a fig

Baby Mozart
Baby Mozart
Mozart's music, both timeless and lovely, has been shown to affect people of all ages in positive ways. BABY MOZART(R) is a playful, imaginative introduction for infants and toddlers to the music of Mozart. Litle eyes will light up at the images of brightly colored toys and visually captivating objects, while little ears will love the carefully arranged music and amusing sound effects. The best-selling video of its kind, BABY MOZART is a rich source of stimulation that will delight your child time and again.
Customer Review: Baby Love It
We purchased several more of the Baby Einstein videos bases on my daughters appreciation of this one. However, so far none of come close to Baby Mozart. My daughter has been engaged by the great combination of classical music and engaging images from 3 months to 9 months. I anticipate we will get a few more months out of it as well.
Customer Review: Baby Homer Simpson? DVDs not for babies even if "Einstein" is in the name...
The name "Brainy Baby" is a nice way to lull parents into feeling okay about their babies watching t.v. and videos, but according to the American Academy of Pediatrics babies should not be exposed to television at all before they're 2 years old! According to Time Magazine and the Boston Globe,
".. researchers found that, among babies ages 8 months to 16 months, every hour spent daily watching programs such as 'Brainy Baby' or 'Baby Einstein' translated into six to eight fewer words in their vocabularies as compared with other children their age."
Another study shows that brain wave activity in babies is actually slower when watching television than when *sleeping*, and yet another study shows that for every hour of television a baby watches a day, their chances of having an attention deficit disorder increases 10%. (I.e. 5 hours a day = 50% greater chance of ADHD). I like to take William Sears' advice that "relationships, not things, make babies smarter". The easiest way to make babies smarter? Carry them in a sling, because it is proven to make them much smarter since they are relating to you physically, emotionally, verbally, and visually.
For more information, you can google "television and baby studies", or see the Listmania list "Natural Parenting for Baby's First Year".

Customer Review: Don't believe everything you READ
This product is probably the most controversial electronic product out there !
With all the reviews I read: "self policing, etc" I was very hesitant to buy the drive.
BUT, I am sooooo happy I did.
The drive installed in 3 minutes. Since I have Windows Vista, I had to download the new Minionet software from the WD support site.
Once, I did the rest was easy. I saved a bunch of mp3 and backup of my DVDs. I was able to access these files (when logged in through my account) from several anywhere.. from work, from a friends house.
Now for couple of cons:
1) Wireless transfers can be very slow for large files (4-5GB files)
2) If you log in yourself, you can access the media files from any computer with internet connection. If you send an "invite" to someone else, you can cannot share the media files.
Hope this helps with your purchase decision. I'm glad I bought it.
Customer Review: Avoid Unless You're a Masochist
I was a fairly loyal WD customer until this piece of junk drove me up the wall. All of the other complaints here are true:
The Mionet software is useless
The much-touted remote access feature requires a monthly subscription --blatant false advertising
It is unbelievably slow
And most important, it is just horribly unstable, throwing up all kinds of erratic behavior which will have you wasting hours to try and correct.
Avoid like the plague and shame on WD for subjecting an unsuspecting and (formerly) loyal customer to this abuse!!!

Customer Review: Compromises? Not In My View.
I did a fair amount of soul-searching before pulling the trigger on this purchase, in large part because of all the "compromises" apparently required to make as thin as this one is. For me, the MBA replaced a ThinkPad T-40, which has been as sturdy, consistent, and feature-laden as it is unattractive. My worry was that, though I was sure I would like the size and appearance of the MBA, maybe I would miss the T-40's feature set. Worse, I might miss a particular feature while traveling. So, I almost didn't buy the MBA.
I needn't have worried -- the MBA is simply incredible. As others have mentioned, the case is quite sturdy. Apple's engineers ingeniously relied on some of the internal components themselves as part of the skeleton for the case. This sounds scary, except that they were designed to serve both functions. The keyboard is crisp and comfortable (and keep in mind that I'm coming from a very well-regarded keyboard in the ThinkPad). The trackpad gestures more than make up for all of the extra keys the ThinkPad has. Although it takes some getting used to, the three-finger swipe, the two finger "right-click", pinching/expanding, etc., are all intuitive, comfortable, and fairly addictive. I've even started missing them on my desktop. The screen is really impressive -- a *big* improvement from my previous laptop. And battery life has been just fine -- definitely not the advertised five hours, but consistently well over three.
What do I miss? Honestly, not much. I've started using downloaded movies when I travel, including iTunes rentals. They all look just as good as a DVD did (on a laptop, at least) and are better for battery life. When I use an external mouse, I use a Bluetooth wireless model, so it doesn't take up the USB port. I was never a battery-swapper anyway, so that's not an issue. (I'll probably gripe about the built-in battery every couple of years when I replace it, then forget it the rest of the time.) And I can't save everything I have on the hard drive, though it holds everything that I would ever need on-the-go. I don't even miss the Ethernet port, as I travel with an Airport Express, and have for years. For me, the only real downside is the speed of opening applications. Opening most apps is noticeably and annoyingly slower than with my desktop (or, presumably, than all of the other Apple notebooks). However, once open, they do just fine. I now leave them open, which Apple says is fine, and speed is more than adequate.
As a disclaimer, I should mention that I'm a lawyer, so my usage doesn't involve heavy graphic or media work. I tend to run the Microsoft Office suite, Safari, iTunes, iPhoto, watch movies, and use the internet. For those types of things, the MBA comfortably meets my needs. I've even added VM Ware's Fusion program (running Windows XP) and, once loaded, it does the job as well. A speed demon this computer isn't, but if you use general productivity software and Apple's consumer applications, you'll probably be very happy.
Customer Review: Great companion laptop
I have been looking for a computer to write with, going through a few different computers before finally settling on this one. The pluses and minuses have been covered well by all the great reviews here.
The computer itself is fantastic. What it lacks in ports, drives, battery life, etc it makes up for in quality bones. The screen is easily the best screen on any Mac laptop (this is something of a lottery though, and some airs are given better screens then others), and the build quality is also the best of any mac laptop imo. It feels sturdy in your hands, and the weight is just right.
Multitouch allows you to stop using the trackpad button altogether (and you'll never miss the 2nd button again). The keyboard backlight is very bright if needed, and is especially effective with the black keys. I use it with a network desktop/server so disk space doesn't matter to me. Also, I like the 1.6 b/c it's noticeably cooler than the 1.8 and the fans seem to run several hundred rpms lower on avg.
Overall, this is a good second computer. A LOT of people have had problems with their macbook airs, esp fan/heat issues. Proceed with caution, and assume there is a good chance you will need to exchange it (perhaps multiple times as some people have had to do). If you are willing to risk those issues, the potential reward can be worth it. It is a pleasure to use in bed w/ the lights out.
